Deus: Привет мужики! На связи восточная европа, а точнее Украина. Благодарю за предоставленную возможность пообщаться с любимой командой. Ну что, приступим?

Karl: "Без проблем! Мы рады ответить на Ваши вопросы и встретить новых людей. Начинай!".

Deus: What made you to take instruments and start making a music? Why did you need it back in 1997?

Karl: "Well, I can’t really speak for the rest of the guys in the band, because I’m sure we all have our different reasons for picking up a guitar, bass or drum sticks, but for me, it was all because of the first gig I went to.
On my 16th birthday, back in 1993 I went to see Biohazard play and that band changed my life. From seeing them, it was clear in my mind that I had to play guitar and be in a band. The energy and emotion with which they played really hit me and made me feel something I’d never felt before and I wanted to be able to make people feel that way, so I picked up a guitar and began to learn how to play.
I’ve played in several bands before Born From Pain, but in 2002 I joined Born From Pain and it’s been the best thing to happen to me."

Deus: Что заставило вас взять в руки инструменты. Для чего вам это нужно было в далёком 1997 году?

Karl: "Вообще-то, я не могу говорить за всех. Я уверен у каждого были свои причины чтобы выбрать музыку и начать делать метал. Я начал заниматься музыкой после первого концерта на который я попал. Мне тогда было 16 лет. Это было в 93-м. Я был на концерте Biohazard.
Этот концерт изменил всю мою жизнь. Когда я увидел их, я точно понял, что хочу играть на гитаре в команде. Энергия и отдача с которой они играли реально взорвали меня изнутри. Я тогда почуствовал то что никогда не чувствовал раньше.
Я понял, что хочу тоже быть способным заставлять людей чувствовать подобное, поэтому я и взял гитару и начал играть. Я играл в несколький командах перед Борн Фром Пэйн. Я попал в Борн Фром Пейн в 2002, и с тех пор музыка и концерты это лучшее что есть в моей жизни.".

Deus: "sick questions, you probably always get it"- what do you sing about? What do you want to tell people and where did you get your name from?

Karl: "The band name is taken from an Earth Crisis song called Born From Pain off the album Destroy The Machines and it was chosen because it reflected the music we wanted to play and what things were going on in people’s lives at the time, so it was a perfect fit.
As for what we sing about, there is a lot of things we sing about, but with the latest album War, we really wanted to talk about things that are going on in the world right now, fucked up governments, environmental disarray, social problems, disease and famine and also to reach out to people on a personal level too, because those things are the bigger things that are happening all over the world, but people are affected by things on a personal level too.
In 2007 it’s very hard to live, to support yourself or your family, to put a roof over your head, to find work etc, so we wanted to talk about these subjects and give people something they can identify with, so they don’t feel like the only ones who have these feelings.
Some people have maybe lost hope in the world or themselves, but we want to push a message of never losing hope and never giving in.".
