Roel: "Playing double bass is not easy for me. Especially when you are on tour for 5 weeks. The first 2 or 3 weeks you feel it's getting better every day, but after a while your legs feel totally sore, and it's getting harder to play. I never really had lessons in playing double bass. Before i joined Born From Pain i just played a little double bass with my other bands, but as soon as i joined BFP, i had to do it, so that's the point when it started getting better and better. When you HAVE to do it, i's easier to learn.".

Deus: Такой ещё вопрос, как долго ты учился играть с карданом? Ведь он не сразу даётся многим ударникам.

Roel: "Ну на 2-й педали не так легко играть. Особенно когда ты в туре на 5 недель. Первые пару недель еще ок, но потом ноги болят. Я сам учился. До Борн Фром Пейн я мало играл на спарке.".

Deus: Have you ever broken a cymbal during a concert?

Roel: "Yes i did, but it was never really a problem. I'm endorsed by a cymbal brand called Amedia, best sound ever and they last a really long time!! I always tour with spare cymbals. So as soon as you hear it's broken, i change it to a new one. I toured with all different cymbal brands, but i was never as happy as i am now with the Amedia Vigor Rock series.".

Deus: Были у тебя случаи на выступлениях, когда ты разбивал какую-то тарелку в процессе игры?

Roel: "Да ломал. Но это не проблема. Амедия привозит мне тарелки как эндорсеру. Я играл на всех брендах, но Амедия самые классные.".

Deus: Is it true that Che left a band after so many years of hard work? We heard such news, but we cant believe, we think vocals and voice of Che were one of cool features of BFP?

Karl: "Yes, it’s true, Che has left, he played his final show on the War Is On Tour which we just finished two weeks ago. Che felt that he needed to concentrate on living his life and achieving some goals that he wanted to set himself that didn’t involve the band. It’s always hard losing an original member, but it’s something he needed to do and we fully support him and wish him luck. His voice and stage presence and just general character on the road will be missed.".
